SLING: Slovenian national supercomputing network

SLING is Slovenian national supercomputing network which provides access to cluster-based Slovenian and international computing and storage capacities. Access to these resources is granted to researchers in universities, research institutions, industrial development centers and other organizations.

Its purpose is to provide significant computing capacities to those researchers who need to run compute-intensive algorithms and massively parallel algorithms (HPC/supercomputing) and use distributed processing of large numbers of tasks across several clusters (compute grid, HTC/high throughput computing) and big data processing.

By joining the SLING one can gain access to European Grid Infrastructure, which facilitates collaboration on european research projects.
