SLING assignements are as follows:

• promoting the usage of grid, JPC and cloud infrastructure in Slovenia,
• technical support for users and resource centers,
• introducing high performance computing as part of the curriculum at the faculties,
• trainings for users and site administrators,
• providing central services for all clusters in the SLING network,
• SLING as a link between the academic organizations and industry,
• representing scientific computing in the European research field,
• providing technical integration for member organizations,
• managing virtual organizations system,
• managing national Certificate Authority SiGNET,
• middleware testing and development,
• integration of the NGI in the EGI
• etc.
