Organizations

Member organizations in the SLING network offer their computing and storage resources to the users, they offer support and exchage the know-how with other member organizations. They can make use of the resources of other member organizations, not only in SLING, but also in the EGI infrastructure.

The organizations within the SLING network cooperation on multiple levels. They can develop new algorithms, standards and policies in the SLING network. By installing the grid middleware on their clusters or clouds, they can establish a connection with other slovenian and european resource providers and offer their reosources to the end users . Also organizations with no resources can join, by collaboration in a supported Virtual Organization (VO) mechanism . VO-s are used for user authorization on the grid and HPC clusters.
